Why is the zebra associated with carcinoid, pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, and other rare NETs? In the United States, a disease is considered rare if less than 200,000 people are known to have that disease. At least 115,000 people in the U.S. have been identified as having a NET. There may be many more due to misdiagnosis or a lack of a proper diagnosis. Let’s keep working together to educate doctors and the public about carcinoid/NETs!

Special thanks to the Lambert family for this wonderful annual event and for helping to bring about greater awareness of carcinoid cancer, supporting research, and bringing hope to carcinoid/NET survivors  and their loved ones!
