The Carcinoid Cancer Foundation welcomes feedback from the carcinoid/NET community so that we can regularly update our website, providing the most sought- after and up-to-date information possible. Recently we were asked to add a feature to our Find a Doctor list, identifying which physicians take Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance. We have contacted all the doctors in the United States on our current list and are presently collecting this information and preparing it as a new component on the Find a Doctor list.
Pictured below are some of the specialists included on the Find a Doctor list.
Find a Doctor was created to help carcinoid/NET patients and their loved ones identify specialists in these rare diseases as well as physicians we identify as carcinoid/NET friendly. The specialists, as well as the multi-disciplinary carcinoid/NET centers, are highlighted in pale blue shading. Physicians included on the list request to be included and are also recommended. The Foundation’s Medical Director, Dr. Richard R.P. Warner, reviews all requests/recommendations and makes the final determination.
We’ll be adding another exciting new feature to the Find a Doctor list in the coming months – video profiles of the doctors!!
