New Carcinoid/Neuroendocrine Tumor Awareness Item: Monica’s Bracelet

Visit the Barking Zebra website, and you will find elegant awareness jewelry, benefitting a variety of causes, including The Carcinoid Cancer Foundation and the American Cancer Society.   Monica’s Bracelet was created to honor Monica Warner, the driving force behind The Carcinoid Cancer Foundation for two decades, who died suddenly in August 2009.  According to Suzi Garber, jewelry designer and owner of the website, “Monica was well known in the cancer community for being a pioneering leader; she left a rich legacy of caring, friendship, and community and lives in the hearts of the many people she touched. We honor her memory and the mission she so dearly pursued.”

Ms. Garber is a carcinoid patient, founder of the Delaware Valley Carcinoid & NET Connection (aka Philly Connection) support group in Pennsylvania, and is the patient advocate working alongside an elite medical team to form a new carcinoid/NET clinic in Philadelphia to serve Philly, the Delaware Valley and beyond.

Monica’s Bracelet is a sterling silver bangle bracelet that has an awareness ribbon in a zebra pattern and a cleverly hidden clasp.  It is available in four wrist sizes and can be custom ordered in 14K gold. 10% of all sales of Monica’s Bracelet will be donated to The Carcinoid Cancer Foundation. This unique piece of jewelry was designed to bring about greater awareness of carcinoid cancer/neuroendocrine tumors.
