Now in its third year, Run for The Stripes (click here for flyer) raises awareness for neuroendocrine cancers and funds for NET research at the University of Penn Medicine's Abramson Cancer Center.  The 5K run/walk will be held at the Philadelphia Zoo. CCAN's 2014 "Strides for Stripes" Zebra Walk, NY

The Carcinoid Cancer Awareness Network (CCAN) will hold its 6th Annual "Strides for Stripes" Zebra Walk on Saturday, November 1 at 10:30 am at Eisenhower Park Field 6A in East Meadow, NY.  The walk helps raise money for programs that assist NET cancer patients and brings about awareness of carcinoid and NET cancers. Water and energy bars will be provided and a light lunch will be served.  Entertainment will be provided by Undercover from 12 noon to 2 pm. American Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Support

Multiple endocrine neoplasia (MEN) patients, their families/friends, and medical professionals are invited to attend a free, half-day education seminar presented by the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, in partnership with American Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Support.  Topics include A Brief Overview of MEN-1, Thyroid & Parathyroid Surgery, Pancreatic Surgery, Pituitary Surgery, Adrenal Surgery, Hospital and Surgical Care Panel, Genetics of MEN, and MEN Long-Term Follow-up Care.  Following the seminar, AMEN Support will host a reception at the Doubletree Hotel in Rochester from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
