Jason S. Starr, DO, is an oncologist in the Department of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. He will be the featured guest for CCF’s Facebook Live Luncheon with the Experts on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 12 noon to 1 pm, Eastern Time. Dr. Starr specializes in gastrointestinal (GI) malignancies and treats patients with neuroendocrine tumors (NETs); neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC); colon cancer; esophageal cancer; liver cancer; pancreatic cancer, and stomach cancer.
Dr. Starr has a special interest in NETs and is committed to advancing the field through clinical research through the development and enrollment of clinical trials. He served a two-year term on the NCI (National Cancer Institute) Neuroendocrine Tumor Task Force and currently serves on the NANETS (North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society) Communications Committee. “The greatest joy of my career is the interaction and relationships I am able to have with my patients,” says Dr. Starr.
