We have a day to give thanks and we have three days, Black Friday, Shop Local Saturday and Cyber Monday, devoted to shopping. Now we have a day recognizing the spirit of giving. “Here is a new day that is good for the soul,” said Henry Timms, deputy executive director of strategy, innovation and content of 92nd Street Y in New York City, where the idea was hatched.

Our mission is to bring about greater awareness and education of carcinoid and related neuroendocrine cancers, such as pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors; to support those living with these rare diseases and their loved ones; and to be patient advocates, speaking on behalf of the carcinoid/NET community.
The Carcinoid Cancer Foundation serves people throughout the United States as well as internationally. More than 1,200,000 individuals seeking information about carcinoid/NETs from over 110 countries have visited our website, send us email inquiries, and call the Foundation – from nearly every continent in the world. We are also very active in the Worldwide NET Cancer Awareness Day Alliance, seeking to spread the message about carcinoid/NETs everywhere in the world.
