Capitol Area Carcinoid/Neuroendocrine Tumor Survivors (CACNETS, formerly CACS)
Welcome to the Capitol Area Carcinoid/Neuroendocrine Tumor Survivors group, CACNETS, founded in September 2001 for neuroendocrine tumor, NET, patients and caregivers in the Washington, DC; Virginia and Maryland region.
Our mission is to provide vital and trusted information and guidance to NET patients from the patient perspective as well as encouragement, hope, emotional and social support to our members, their caregivers and supporters. We increase awareness of our disease among medical professionals and the general public.
SPECIAL NOTE DURING THE PANDEMIC:
Given COVID-19 concerns, meetings are temporarily being held using Zoom’s secure video and phone platform. Check our website for specific details for each month’s meeting. To request Zoom log-in information, send an email to our gmail address (below) noting “Please send link for the next Zoom meeting” in the subject line. Also, please let us know if you will be participating from outside of our normal physical support group area!

Guest speakers (NETs Specialists and other clinical professionals) present at several regular meetings during the year as well as during our major biennial Bea Lehming Lecture Series.
