Since joining MD Anderson in 2011, Dr. Dasari’s clinical focus has been on neuroendocrine malignancies and he currently serves as co-Chair of the MD Anderson multidisciplinary neuroendocrine tumor board. Dr. Dasari’s research interests include clinical, translational and outcomes work in gastrointestinal cancers with a particular emphasis on neuroendocrine tumors. He serves as the principal investigator of several clinical trials and research projects on neuroendocrine tumors. He is currently a member of the NCI Task Force for Neuroendocrine Tumors, is co-Chair of the SWOG Neuroendocrine Subcommittee and also chairs the NANETS’ Continuing Education Committee.
Dr. Dasari is a co-author of numerous articles including the seminal publication “Trends in the Incidence, Prevalence, and Survival Outcomes in Patients with Neuroendocrine Tumors in the United States,” published in JAMA Oncology; articles on carcinoid syndrome and carcinoid heart disease; and articles on treatments and clinical trials for NETs.
