2014 National NET Patient Conference

Neuroendocrine Tumors Conference -- UKI NETS and the Royal College of Physicians
A one-day conference, held in conjunction with the 11th Annual Meeting of the UK and Ireland Neuroendocrine Tumor Society, UKI NETS, will present information on the state-of-the-art management and research in patients with neuroendocrine tumors. The meeting will be held at the Royal College of Physicians in London.

9th Annual Run for Hope 5K -- Raising Awareness and Funds for Carcinoid Research and Education
Second Annual International Patient Symposium on Pheochromocytoma and Paraganglioma
Pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma patients, loved ones, and healthcare professionals are invited to attend this symposium scheduled for June 20-21, 2013, NIH campus, The Cloisters in Bethesda, Maryland. There is no charge for attendance for patients but registration is required.
Among the topics to be covered are Anatomical and Functional Imaging, Genetics, Pregnancy and Pheo, Surgery of Pheochromocytomas and Paragangliomas, Radiofrequency Ablation, Chemotherapy and Other Approaches to Treatment of Metastatic Pheo/Para, Radionuclide Therapy of Metastatic Pheo/Para, Pain Management, Nutrition, Nurturing the Family's Resilience in Times of Crisis, and Patient Navigators.
The Opening Welcome will be given by Alan E. Guttmacher, Director of NICHD. Neuroendocrine Cancer: Making Sense of the Disease -- Dr. Eric Liu to Speak in Dallas
Dr. Eric H. Liu, Director of the Neuroendocrine Center at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, will be the guest speaker for the Carcinoid Cancer Texas Survivors Support Group meeting on June 8. Dr. Liu is a surgical oncologist whose major focus is neuroendocrine tumors. He actively engages in research, developing new biomarkers and imaging techniques for better diagnosis of neuroendocrine tumors
The program is open to physicians, neuroendocrine cancer patients and caregivers, at no charge. NET Cancer Patient Conference -- Rochester, Michigan
Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Seminar at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota
The American Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Support, in collaboration with the Mayo Clinic, will present the 2nd Annual MEN Seminar on June 7, 2013 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. This is an event created especially to educate and support MEN patients, their families, and medical personnel. The program will include discussion about MEN Type 1, MEN Type2A, MEN Type 2B, and MEN Type 4. There will be extensive discussion about the genetics of MEN and the New Guidelines for Physicians and Families for their continued MEN treatment.

New Jersey Carcinoid Cancer NETwork Mini-Symposium on Carcinoid and Neuroendocrine Tumors
Ask the Experts, a half-day, mini-symposium on carcinoid and neuroendocrine tumors will be presented by the New Jersy Carcinoid Cancer NETwork, in cooperation with Holy Name Medical Center, Oncology Department, in Teaneck, New Jersey. Local and national NETs specialists will give an overview of carcinoid and NETs with the focus of the day being an extended, moderated Question and Answer period.
