On Rare Disease Day, the last day in February of each year, millions of patients and their families around the world share their stories to promote awareness of the challenges, hopes and needs of those living with rare diseases. The international advocacy day brings widespread recognition of rare diseases as a global health challenge. NORD, the National Organization for Rare Disorders, is the official US sponsor of Rare Disease Day and EURORDIS is the Rare Disease Day global host.
