NANETS (The North American Tumor Society)
This society was formed in September 2006. The North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society is now an incorporated non-profit organization. Their primary purpose shall be to improve neuroendocrine disease management through increased research and educational purposes.

The NANETS' board members are presently working on creating neuroendocrine consensus.guidelines specifically for the US, Canadian and Mexican medical community. Their next physician CME Neuroendocrine Tumor symposium is scheduled for October 2 & 3  in Charlotte, North Carolina, see below

ENETS_BODThe European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society is composed of physicians whose main mission is to increase awareness and knowledge of neuroendocrine tumors and to promote education through the dissemination and sharing of information in the medical community . These physicians also help to increase awareness within the general public of these often rare conditions by working closely with global support groups.

The 4th Annual ENETS Conference was held in Barcelona, Spain, 15-17 March 2007. The conference covered topics such as the application of the ENETS Guidelines to clinical practice; rare hereditary diseases and endocrine tumors; NET imaging and surgery; and new therapies and clinical trials.
