December Luncheon with the Experts in New York City for the Carcinoid and Neuroendocrine Tumor Community

Carcinoid and neuroendocrine tumor (NET) patients have a unique opportunity to hear from three medical experts during Lunch with the Experts in New York City on Sunday, December 6, 2015. This special program was initiated and is sponsored by the Big Apple NETs support group, in collaboration with the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation. There is no charge for the luncheon thanks to the generous sponsorship of Lexicon Pharmaceuticals.

Big Apple NETs

Participants will hear from and interact with expert physicians in an informal setting on issues ranging from surgery to follow-up testing and new developments.  The event will take place in a private dining room at Dorrian’s Restaurant in Manhattan (1616 2nd Avenue, corner of 84th Street).

The maximum number of participants is 25, with preference given to newcomers, but otherwise on a first-come, first-served basis.  Registration is by email or telephone.

The experts for the luncheon will be: Dr. Richard R.P. Warner, a world-renowned carcinoid/NET specialist, Director of the Center for Carcinoid and Neuroendocrine Tumors at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and Medical Director of the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation; Dr. Myron Schwartz, Professor of Surgery, Surgical Oncology and Clinical Director of the Mount Sinai Liver Cancer Program; and Dr. Andrew Kaufman, Assistant Professor of Thoracic Surgery, Mount Sinai Hospital.
